Review

Journeys Beyond Life is a book prepared at the request of Horizon Publishers.  It contains “the best” of the author’s books, Glimpses of Eternity and Echoes From Eternity.  It has been prepared as a non-denominational book which draws broad views of the myriad experiences it covers.
Journeys Beyond Life offers a profound and penetrating view beyond earthly life through the eyes of those who had a near-death out-of-body experience (NDE) or a related spiritual event. The complete case studies of thirty-two first-hand accounts are included from the Gibsons' extensive research in this field. In addition, numerous partial accounts are provided, and the research statistics for sixty-eight experiences are given—together with significant conclusions resulting from analysis of the statistical data.
In the near-death research reported in this volume, the Gibsons confirmed many patterns that other NDE researchers had already analyzed. In many accounts, however, the reported experiences are dramatic, and completely unexpected, and they show results which had not been previously identified. Both positive and negative experiences are described in these studies.
Eloise Weaver, one of many whose experiences are included, said of her experience: "I understand now that life is really short. We need to make the best of each day, . . . and to know that Heavenly Father loves us, and no matter how hard our difficulties are, everything will be okay. I used to be a coward about death. I now feel that death is a piece of cake."
Howard Storm, an atheistic professor who fully expected to be obliterated upon death, found to his surprise an astonishing world in his extensive NDE, and was told intriguing news about future events here in mortality.
Journeys Beyond Life offers a new perspective of what righteous individuals might expect to find when they leave this life. For those who merit it, the Gibsons' in-depth research suggests an eternal pain-free life filled with light, truth, knowledge, growth, creation, and exuberant joy.
This volume has been prepared as a non-denominational book for broad distribution to the general public.
